With markings resembling a fox, this is not a fox nor is it a wolf, considered an endangered animal, the Maned Wolf gets its name from it appearance, long hair or mane on the back of its neck. Maned wolves can be found in a wide range of habitats across Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Argentina. Maned wolves are not social creatures but will take one mate for life, males and females are known to share the same territory however will only come together during mating the season.

Almost completely blind, this strange looking animal can grow about 20 cm long. When feasting on earthworms and various other water dwelling insects the tentacles that are found on its nose are drawn completely out of the way, its safe to say it would be slightly uncomfortable to nibble your own nose, wouldn’t it. This small, strange animal is found in wet low areas of Canada and the northern parts of America.
The Hummingbird Hawk-Moth can be found from Portugal to Japan, but mostly in warmer climates like Southern Europe and North Africa, the sound created by this animal while flying resembles that of an actual Hummingbird, although not endangered spotting one is still rare.
